How did it happen?

I have long wondered how Americans from up North came to invade the South with such hate? Well, part of the answer comes from the new socialists from Europe settled in the North with their Godless mantra of social justice for the workers. On July 4th, 1826; a new immigrate from Scotland named Robert Owen, gave a speech in Indiana from his new socialist commune(New Harmony) denouncing American Christians as a plague on The Country. Later on this new immigrate became a member of the US Congress. *Think that radial muslim now in our modern Congress*  This man and his friends like Abe Lincoln, spewed their marxist lies throughout the 25 yrs before the War. Convincing Northern Americans to hate Southern Americans, as well as, dehumanizing us Southerners; making it alright to invade, rape, plunder, murder fellow citizens. Just because they were Southerners, White and Black. Now they are coming at us Southerners again for the same reasons, lies, spews of hate. These people today are pure evil and have only hate in their souls for us God Fearing Southerners. We are being exterminated by today's Democrat Party, and Liberal Northerners. These thugs are a plague on our Country.  Under the banner of our Fathers, the Cross of Saint Andrews, we fight back.

  3. This reminds me of an an incident that took place at the Surrender proceedings between Edward Canby and Richard Taylor.

Apparently Canby had some feeling for his fellow American and was as gracious as he could be under the circumstances. Canby’s chief of staff, a recent immigrant that spoke in a thick German accent, however felt compelled to lecture Taylor on what it meant to be an American.

Taylor’s reply to this pompous bastard was classic.

“I apologized meekly for my ignorance, on the ground that my ancestors had come from England to Virginia in 1608, and, in the short intervening period of two hundred and fifty-odd years, had found no time to transmit to me correct ideas of the duties of American citizenship. Moreover, my grandfather, commanding the 9th Virginia regiment in our Revolutionary army, had assisted in the defeat and capture of the Hessian mercenaries at Trenton, and I lamented that he had not, by association with these worthies, enlightened his understanding. My friend smiled blandly, and assured me of his willingness to instruct me.”

You don’t have to be an actual descendant of the yankee puritans to have the rotten hateful self-rightous yankee attitude.

  4. "I have long wondered how Americans from up North came to invade the South with such hate?"

Why is this in the form of a question? Otherwise, there is no historical evidence given here for motivations. So the comment has no importance.

"Well, part of the answer comes from the new socialists from Europe settled in the North with their Godless mantra of social justice for the workers."

I’m not sure how and why “social justice for the workers” is inherently “Godless.”

"On July 4th, 1826; a new immigrate from Scotland named Robert Owen, gave a speech in Indiana from his new socialist commune(New Harmony) denouncing American Christians as a plague on The Country."

Some effort to use correct words and proper punctuation would be appreciated. That’s not a matter of snobbery either. If the author expects to be taken the least bit seriously as a historian he should consider communicating effectively and exhibiting his intelligence. Otherwise he may justly be viewed as a crank.

"Later on this new immigrate became a member of the US Congress. *Think that radial muslim now in our modern Congress*"

This is a pointless and inappropriate attempt at a modern analogy, and poorly executed at that.

"This man and his friends like Abe Lincoln, spewed their marxist lies throughout the 25 yrs before the War."

Abe Lincoln was no more a Marxist than my big toe. But giving the author the benefit of the doubt, some citation here would certainly be appreciated. Legitimate historians know they can’t just state a pretend fact and have it become reality. That said, The Communist Manifesto is pretty widely known, and acknowledged to have been published IN EUROPE in 1848. That’s only 12 years before Lincoln’s election and the onset of Secession Winter. So I doubt very highly much spewing of Marxist lies was happening in the United States beginning in 1835. How many Marxists were actively touting Marxist thought BEFORE Marx actually wrote them down?

"Convincing Northern Americans to hate Southern Americans, as well as, dehumanizing us Southerners; making it alright to invade, rape, plunder, murder fellow citizens."

Let’s ignore the fact that the slave/master culture relied absolutely on dehumanizing the slaves, “making it alright to…rape, plunder, murder” them. The author studiously avoids slavery as a term or circumstance. So I guess we should too. But it is clear he’s taking a page out of every propaganda manual there is in accusing the opposition of that which his side is guilty. That said, he once again provides ZERO supporting evidence for his claim. I am not aware of any concerted and public effort to convince Northern Americans to hate Southern Americans wholesale. The author claims it happened, but he provides no sources.

"Just because they were Southerners, White and Black."

    This is simply nonsense.

"Now they are coming at us Southerners again for the same reasons, lies, spews of hate."

    What reasons?

"These people today are pure evil and have only hate in their souls for us God Fearing Southerners."

    More unsupported nonsense.

"We are being exterminated by today's Democrat Party, and Liberal Northerners."

    More unsupported nonsense.

"These thugs are a plague on our Country."

    More unsupported nonsense.

"Under the banner of our Fathers, the Cross of Saint Andrews, we fight back."

For goodness’ sake. If it’s so important to you and your cause that you’re going to fight under it, you should bloody well know it is SINGULAR, the Cross of Saint Andrew, NOT Andrews. This entire post is un-historical and unsupported. It’s appears simply as the irrational rantings of a crotchety old coot who is to blinded by his own bigotry and hatred to concern himself with facts. But at least it’s structurally and grammatically a huge mess too. The problem is, those unfamiliar with historical reality may actually believe its untruths. And that is my biggest worry.

    1. Greetings Unknown,
Thxs for Ur critic of my opinion, showing Ur lack of understanding of my objective for writing it. I have never once posted that I have a College Degree in History; BUT I have forgotten more real History, than U can comprehend. While I have real source history to back up my opinions; however U are not interested in learning that history. So I do not waste my time with Ur pompous taunts backing my opinion. I am so enjoying living in Ur brain rent free. Keep up the critics.

  5. Obviously the North had a lot of lies and hate that had been taught them for years before the war. They were bitter over issues, but they didn't like the power southerners had in Congress. Lincoln, and his fellow communist wanted control of the federal reserve. That's what Lincoln was about. Building big govt and being able to raid the Treasury. That's what he fought for as a Whig but was continually shot down. Once he became President, nothing was going to stop him from putting his political plan into place. Including killing hundreds of thousands and imprisoning who ever spoke out.
